Ordinary runs are about beating your own record. The Daily Challenge is about comparing yourself to everyone
else,
so the board, the time limit, the number of attempts and the multipliers are all fixed identically for every
player.

The key difference: with no streak bonus, someone who plays every day and someone who started today
stand on exactly the same ground. The flip side is that Challenge scores gain nothing from your streak.
2. What "the same board" means
Randomness during a Challenge run is driven by a shared seed derived from the date. Where the next gate appears
and when the spin reverses follow a predetermined sequence.
There is no luck involved. Everyone solves the same problem, and the ranking measures who solved it
best.
You get three attempts so you can learn the board on the first and sharpen up on the next two.
As in normal play, a miss ends the run immediately — the 60 seconds is a ceiling, not a guarantee.
3. Weekly difficulty
The Challenge difficulty changes once a week, with the week starting at midnight Monday, Japan
time.
Each week is assigned one of Easy, Normal or Hard. It stays the same every day of that week,
so getting comfortable early in the week pays off later in it.
4. How the weekly ranking is calculated
The weekly ranking is not based on a single run. It uses the sum of your best score on each day
of that week.
weekly score = Monday's best + Tuesday's best + … + Sunday's best
If you played three times in a day, only the best of the three counts. Days you skipped count as
zero.
That means playing all seven days beats one huge score.
The "days played" figure shown alongside your entry reflects the same design.
5. Tie-breaking
When weekly scores are equal, the following are compared in order:
Higher total PERFECT count for the week
Then the higher single-day best within the week
Then whoever reached that record first
Ties always resolve deterministically, so the order never shuffles between views.

Appearing in the ranking requires an account. Guests can play the Challenge, but the result stays on the device
and is not submitted.
7. How long records last
Challenge history is kept for the last 70 days — roughly ten weeks — which is also the range
ASTRA+ members can look back through.
