Every run in ASTRA produces exactly one star — the great runs and the ones that ended after three taps alike.
Stars are never removed; they accumulate into your galaxy. This page explains how each one is determined.
1. A star is always born
The "A STAR IS BORN" screen at the end of a run is that star's birth. Each one records the run's
score, combo, PERFECT count, difficulty and timestamp.
There is no way to erase a bad run, and no reason to want to. The more small, dim stars you have,
the more the rare bright ones stand out.
2. Five rarity tiers
Rarity is decided by score alone:
Rarity

Pale blue-white
RARE
35+
Cyan
EPIC
90+
Violet
LEGENDARY
180+

MYTHIC

Magenta
Rough guide: on Normal, on the first day of a streak (1.05×), RARE lands at about 8 consecutive hits,
EPIC at 13, LEGENDARY at 18 and MYTHIC at 25.
On Hard with a full 10-day streak (1.5×) those drop to 6, 9, 14 and 18.
3. Star size
Visual size scales with the square root of your score:
size = min( 10 + √score × 2.4 , 46 )
Because it is a square root, early progress is very visible and later gains compress.
Size caps at 46 once your score reaches 225, so the difference between a LEGENDARY
and a MYTHIC shows up in colour and label rather than size.

4. Star colour
A star's hue comes from its score and combo plus a random value taken at the moment of birth.
Separately from the tier colours above, every individual star carries its own hue.
Because of that random component, two runs with identical scores will not produce identically coloured
stars.
Even among your MYTHICs, no two look the same.
5. Your galaxy
Every star you have made sits in the galaxy view. Tapping one shows its score and rarity and plays a tone
unique to that star — you can treat the whole galaxy as an instrument if you like.
The community view lets you look through galaxies other players have grown.
Guests see three built-in samples; ASTRA+ shows up to 30 real players' galaxies, with search and favourites.
6. Building constellations
Stars can be joined with lines into constellations. Tap stars in order to draw the lines,
and tap the first one again to close the loop.
2 to 24 stars and 1 to 48 lines per constellation
Up to 30 saved constellations
Names of up to 40 characters
Selecting a saved constellation overlays its lines on your galaxy.
It has no effect on scoring — it exists purely to be made.
7. Can stars be lost?
While playing as a guest, stars live only in that browser on that device.
Clearing browser data, or opening the game elsewhere, will not carry them over.
With an account they are stored in the cloud and open on any device, and guest progress transfers into
a newly created account. See the FAQ for details.
